Been messing with the system over the last few days getting my next video in production. Unplugged a lot of gear and then had to reinstall everything. What a difference breaking and renewing connections makes. I know this is not a new phenomenon and is the result of removing oxidation etc but this time the uplift in SQ has been very noticeable.

I have had increases in transparency, top end detail and generally an overall more immediate sound in the room. Not quite like cleaning a murky window but someway
towards that sort of effect. It has reminded me I could do with deoxidising all my connections and plugs. Valve pins could also do with a clean so maybe if I do the whole lot together and polish my fuses I may get an even bigger up lift? We will see?

I did all my fuses some years ago and leaving out listener expectation it did "seem" to make a difference. Perhaps I ought to do them again.
