What I have been "listening to right now" is some acts from Glastonbury (courtesy of BBC4).
First up was Seasick Steve - I've been following him since his first appearence on 'Later', when he only had 3 strings on his guitar. Subsequent success has allowed him to not only fully string his guitar, but to employ a drummer; the two of them sporting beards to rival ZZ Top! Anyway it was good 'foot-stomping blues' and merited his performing on the Pyramid stage.
Next up was Paloma Faith. Always opinionated, but at least she could sing and was a bit 'different' to her contemporaries. Sadly I found her performance was spoilt by her sexual-political rants. The only saving grace, for me, was her singing a song by the late, great Amy Winehouse.
Finally: Steel Pulse - good solid Jamacian regge from this Birmingham band. Excellent - and more than made up for Paloma Faith's performance.

I saw a bit of Glastonbury over the weekend.
Sugababes - did some great pop songs in their day. Mutya and Keisha were ok, but the redhead (can't remember her name) was having a shocker - every other note she sang was off, made me think her headset was faulty and she couldn't hear herself. Or maybe she was just crap.
Jessie Ware - I do quite like her and I've been considering buying an album but haven't yet. After hearing her on Saturday I will be buying it as soon as I get back off me jolliesGood set, and she's just the right side of barking mad.
Orbital - really looked forward to this as it is exactly 30 years since I saw them there and was the highlight of the festival for me. And this one didn't disappoint. Concentrated on their earlier "classics", and that's fine by me.
I'll catch up on some more on iPlayer, especially Steel Pulse

I couldn't tell you, not really into Rick Astley.
As for Glastonbury well their were a couple of nice surprises for me - first off, The Psychedelic Porn Crumpets were on and I didn't know until someone told me; I watched em and they were fkn superb!!! Secondly, IDLES were on and I watched their set and again, full of energy........... superb!!! Lastly, Coldplay......... just brilliant!!!! I also watched Avril Lavigne's set and to be fair she could still do it live - pretty good. I fell to sleep watching Shania Twain as she definitely COULDN'T DO IT ANYMORE!!! Cindi Lauper was SIMPLY ATROCIOUS!!!!! I can't stand today's mainstream "POP" acts (SZA, DUA LIPA etc) and all that kind of 5h1t so, I wont bother even trying to give an opinion.

Listened to this Monday evening, for some reason I didn't get around to posting yesterday.
This turned up in the post yesterday. Toy and Touch have been on my 'to buy' list for ages, but with stupid prices being asked for vinyl I finally thought sod it and ordered the CD's.
