I never used to be that keen on The Doors, and after reading a biography of Jim Morrison I concluded that he was a bit of a dick. I have recently come to like them more, though I only have this album and "Morrison Hotel". I was thinking maybe "LA Woman" next.

And now on to my next pick, for no other reason than that it was next to The Doors on the shelf

Mrs. Pony has left the house to get her nails done. So time for some of that bass-monster that is "Touch" by Yello. Turns my sofa into a massage chair

One of the rooms at Cranage was playing "The Rhythm Divine" with Shirley Bassey doing vocals. Reminded me I haven't played this in a very long time.

Way Out West - We Love Machine (2009)

Love this album, the title track especially. Very varied electronica. Steve (Pigmy Pony) if you’ve not got any Way Out West I think you would like them.

Sex Pistols - Filthy Lucre Live. Great live set by the Pistols on one of their early reformation performances at Finsbury Park in the 90's. I bought this when it came out and thought it was about time I gave it a spin as I haven't played it for a while.

Cheers Alex, yes I think I would I was aware of them for remixes they did for others, though Dubstar's "Not so Manic Now" is the only one that springs to mind (this was the 90s and my memory is a bit hazy )

Nick Warren (one half of the duo) was a big name among DJs back then, and had a residency at Cream, Liverpool, so I will have witnessed at least one of his sets there... Global Underground released CDs of various sets he did around the world, so he must have been doing something right. Global underground releases are relatively pricey as used CDs go, no 2 quid jobbies there. Probably becoming collectable.

Anyway, I've just ordered We Love Machine off Music Magpie, and with a lot of luck it'll arrived before I go away on Monday. But more likely it'll be waiting for me when we get back

Thought I'd give this a spin, one of my Global Underground CDs. Not played this in donkey's.
