Anyone keen on watches?

The reason I mentioned it is I was once mugged the day I bought a Longines watch. I was wearing cufflinks and being a large crown watch it wouldn't go under the cuff. I was on my way home from a work do and the next thing I knew was waking up in hospital with a fractured eye socket and no watch, phone or wallet.

That’s different to saying you didn’t flaunt it when travelling by wearing it like an American which would be your choice.

Anyway it’s my choice how and where I wear my watches, being told to wear it anywhere in the world (but without flaunting it) won’t change that.

No, you claim I flaunt my wristwatch. I wear it everyday, and when abroad in countries which might be risky, I wear my watch as described so it is less obvious and visible.

What I did say was it probably wouldn’t matter if you did because muggers wouldn’t even know it was a Rolex because of it’s vintage.

I have a couple of pocket watches, but they are were not overly expensive, the rose gold chain its attached to was much more expensive, even though my wrist watch is usually a Tag and nowhere near the price of a Rolex, I am fairly careful about where it would on show

Had more once but still got about 10 I guess.mostly fairly old. 19th c for most or in early 20th. I was a bit of a collector of American ones but not silly money ones. Oldest ones are 1880 ish. Surprising that they still work, some very well.
But I don't wear them now as I don't wear suits anymore sadly.

As I wear a 3 piece suit fairly regularly , I always like to wear my pocket watch and chain.

Back to the matter in hand, this piece of crap cost nothing, the eBay seller I bought it off for a fiver gave me a refund when I complained about one of the hour markers coming loose but didn’t want the watch back. Just wasted a new battery on it.

To answer your asinine question: I wear it American style, with the body of the watch on the inside of the wrist.
