I use either the Kin or the Topping Pre90.
I did some light modifications to the Kin for things that annoyed me yesterday. Just minor things, so the topping is back in the system today.

I built my 686 to take either single ended or balanced inputs.
Eventually I want to add a 2nd TT and then use the Kin stage for casual listening, and the BB3 through the Kin for proper listening sessions.

Two nice pieces of kit there. I know you had a 686 so wondered what you were using. Valve preamps work well with the 686 which I presume includes the KIN? If you are using the BB3 when playing vinyl then I suppose your getting some benefit there too?

Are you tempted to try Class D? Interesting Neurochrome now sell a Purifi kit albeit with SMPS, however I thing this maybe to do with cost?

I am not interested in trying Class D. I am happy with Class AB, either with the 686 or Graham Slee Proprius.
How many amplifiers do we actually need?

    I also have:
    Kenwood KA3020SE
    Arcam Alpha 8R
    Arcam Alpha 9P
    Arcam Alpha 10P

    I think that is enough?

I am waiting for thé day my daughter wants a system in her bedroom.
It will be based on the Arcam 8R, 9P and the Cyrus CLS70 I have in storage.

I don't think Neurochrome sell a Purifi kit? It's not on their website anyway.

This is a good and affordable option for Class D (Hypex rather than Purifi) https://apollonaudio.com/product/apo...400-amplifier/
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > Troels Gravesen Faital 3WC-15.

Purifi is a brand name, so I think Martin is correct.

Your correct Martin, they just sell a Purifi buffer.

I must have been mistaken watching this video. Basically its just how to build a Purifi amp with a few Neurochrome bits used in the construction.

I have now been informed something is now on its way from the Amazon empire.

Will it transform my listening experience?
