Later issues of the LP only had the yellow banana printed on the cover, yet retained the "peel slowly and see" instruction. A cost-cutting exercise obviously - but I always thought Andy Warhol's cover idea pretty stupid.Yes it does, and it says above it "peel slowly and see". Some odds and sods; I have been re-housing my LP collection and found a few LPs that had been misfiled. So -
Spyro Gyra – Catching The Sun

Normally I don't like jazz-funk, so can only assume I must have picked this up for very little in a charity shop. This LP did nothing to change my mind - most of it sounds like 'library' music: the sort of stuff played in cinemas before the film starts, or if there are problems with a TV transmitter and the picture is lost!
Shame, as the musicians can play - but not what I like. Back to a charity shop for this one!

This was filed in the Classical section of my LP collection, under "T" between Tchaikovsky and Vivaldi. It is a collection of Debussy tone poems as interpreted by Tomita, and it is typical annoying sythesiser 'noodling', reminiscent of the 'Switched on Bach' work of Walter/Wendy Carlos.
Instantly forgettable. Again probably picked it up cheap in a charity shop - and that is back where it's going!

Normally the descriptors: "Fusion; Neo-Classical; Classic Rock; Easy Listening" would have me running for the hills, but I have a lot of respect for John Williams's guitar playing, so I'm keeping this one under consideration for the time being.

When My lad moved in to his rental house for his second year at uni a month or so back, the first thing he did was go halfs on a turntable with one of the other lads and bought a couple of records.
A proud moment. I've now handed over a few duplicates I had, (Sensational Alex Harvey Band and Steve Harley) I hope the rest of the house enjoy....
