A long time since I listened to this must be getting on for thirty years. Used to have a tape of it but I gave it away.

Poor old Roger's got more chips than Findus but he did have some good lyrics and musical ideas.

Flog it on Ebay. Bit of a long process, but I'm hoping it'll get easier.

I think it is because it is unlistenable, but because of Beefheart/Zappa's fame the reviewers thought they would loose face if they criticised the album.

Rumour has it that Beefheart had just bought a new hat which he refused to remove in the studio, so he could use headphones. Thus he couldn't hear what the other musicians were playing. But it might be an urban myth.

Wow! 'Run Like Hell' - They played this on Planet Rock a couple of days back, I was listening via the speaker in the computer tower sat under my desk. Really enjoyed listening to it but this is a whole new ballpark.

I suppose that's why we bother to have proper systems isn't it?

I often wonder why a lot of people just dont bother investing in a "PROPER" hi-fi system; I think unless you've played an album on something really good, you've probably never really heard the album !!!!!

Maybe nowadays, music isn't so important in people's lives like it used to be ???
