well italy was in bed with the nazis and whether you supplied the italian divers or the germans, you didnt really have much choice in italy. rolex perhaps had more options but we all know many swiss aided germany; many are german swiss.

Sweden was officially neutral during WW2, yet gave the Germans free passage and access to Norway.
I have a Rolex watch and use Leica and Exacta cameras (both German brands), but I'm not going to let what happened eighty years ago cause me to have a guilty conscience.

Yes I thought the article was a bit judgemental, easy to play Mr Moral Highground from an armchair in a free country.
You don't think of watches as being controversial though. I actually found it while looking to see if the SS issued special watches to their troops (they did).
