Yes I thought too it was probably the heating. Far too uniform to be the wind outside. And there is complete silence between the tracks, showing just what an excellent pressing it is. And the vocals are so beautifully clear, it shows much of today's over-produced nonsense that you don't really need a mega-bucks studio.

This was a birthday gift from a well-meaning relation who wasn't to know that I already have all of these songs on the various albums as well as a "Best of Bowie" double CD with double the number of songs. Still a nice thing to have I suppose.

Talking of Bowie........................ Scary Monsters & Super Creeps; still my favourite Bowie album along with his glam rock albums!! After that comes his Berlin kinda stuff (Low, "Heroes" and Lodger (Life On Mars probably my all time favourite Bowie track). Not too fussed with his later stuff; I think he reached his peak with Scary Minsters and then when he released Let's Dance, (which was OK but a little too 80's over production - contrarily, China Girl is still a fab song though) that's for me when the decline started !!
It isn't necessarily about doing things right, its also about doing the right thing !!!
