    So first up this little recognised live album from 1998 recorded at the bullring of Bilbao in Spain. Known as a "contemporary folk music' artist her songs often include those of protest and social justice. She has recorded songs by the Allman Brothers Band, the Beatles, Jackson Browne, Leonard Cohen,Woody Guthrie, Violeta Parra, the Rolling Stones, Pete Seeger, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, and many others including one time boyfriend Bob Dylan.

    The next two choices are no doubt influenced by attending the BBC Radio 2 Party in the Park on the 16th of September, both being on the bill of eight artists.

    So this guy completely stole the show if not least for his crowd surfing in a Union Jack inflatable dinghy !

    This his debut album from 2004 has some eye watering sales statistics having sold Platinum in three countries, double Platinum in five countries, triple Platinum in two countries, 5 x Platinum in Switzerland, 6 x Platinum in two countries, 7 x Platinum in New Zealand, 9 x Platinum in Australia, 11 x Platinum in the UK and a phenomenal 14 x Platinum in Ireland which means roughly one in five of the population own a copy !

    To finish, has as been my way of late, we have an original 1985 vinyl release, this is thier second album which gave us five singles Mothers Talk, Head Over Heels, I Believe and the two stand out singles Shout and Everybody Wants To Rule The World.
