I'm still listening to this 70s crap/classic.

"crap/classic" is a curious description, but one I can well understand. I have a love/hate relationship with their output, to the extent of having all of their LPs.

For me, it is the contrast between the ultra-smooth and well polished production, with the social insight of their lyrics, that I find difficult, yet I have no difficulty with say The Beach Boys's "Pet Sounds".

After Walter Becker died I continued to listen Donald Fagan and "The Nightfly", but quickly lost interest in his later output.

I got them a couple of years ago for a quid each at car boot. I used to prefer Use Your Illusion 1 (red and yellow) back in the day, but that might have changed since then. I haven't played either since I bought them

I THINK IT'S TIME TO GET EM OUT AND GIVE EM A SPIN - THEY'VE BEEN SITTING THERE WAITING A LONG TIME FOR YOU !!!!

Had some free time this afternoon, so played both albums start to finish. I really couldn't pick an easy favourite, The 2 albums could have been shuffled without changing much. I think perhaps I used to prefer 1 as it had more songs I knew and so was more "accessible". But now I think 2 just edges it for me.

And no complaints from Mrs. P, she's still buzzing from her "rock weekend"

I see that they can now be bought together, but my separate ones were made in 1991, which if I understand Macca correctly, should be the ones to have...

Great to hear you've finally played em!!!! Myself,I cant really choose one over the other, they are both excellent. I'm Glad to hear Mrs. P's still buzzing from her "rock weekend" - sounds about right to me. Long live rock !!!

Well this morning starts with an album I have to admit I can't remember when it was last played but some considerable time ago. Strangely neither the album or any of the tracks are on my phone library so it hasn't been played in the car or on the JBL Flip on a beach or terrace on holiday either !

This album released in 1992 was nominated for 6 Grammy's wining Best Female Pop Performance for Constant Craving. The album sold Platinum in New Zealand and the UK whilst going double Platinum in Australia, Canada and the US.

The songs, arrangements, musicianship, engineering and vocals are sublime.
