You might struggle to find a flat screen TV small enough to squeeze into the largest of vintage tellies. Laptop screen on one would make a pretty funky desktop computer though.

Size would not be a problem: the largest domestic CRT screen was about 23", however the aspect ratio was 4:3 (to match that of film), whereas for flat-screen TVs the aspect ratio is 16:9.

So you would have either a teeny-tiny 'letterbox' picture or have everything on the periphery chopped off. In a cabinet the depth of a fridge. I like having the telly wall-mounted, frees up floor space for other crap.

I had the Philips 16/9 it wasn't that big but it was heavy as it had Dolby surround built in, 5 channels of amplification.
Going back to the late 90s there.
