financially it was yes. i find in general an 18 shouldnt be over a ton, and hopefully a fair bit less. tbh 15 is a better buy generally as its probably aged as well as its going to without it getting too pricey.. 10 is oft just a tad young, but not always.. 12 to 16 is the sweet spot for me. but i find the deanston range very good and their 18 is a cracker and only about 80-ish... used to be late 60s to 70 notes.Originally Posted by CageyH

Banana, vanilla and then apple and pears. Plenty life in the wood used gives it plenty life and spiciness. Needs a little, not much water to open up fully..

Aged exclusively in oloroso casks this 12 yr old ltd ed is not cheap but is stunning.
Full of black berries and dark fruits, plus it has a big vanilla profile too. Good finish t'boot.
