110/70 here at the moment. That's within the normal range, mind you that may change when I take my meds in a minute.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Last time I checked mine was 145/80, and that's with 10mg Amlodipine each day. Could do for it to be a bit lower. Resting heart rate less than 60. Don't know what that's supposed to be, but might explain why I always nod off if sat doing nowt for a few minutes (my CD player does the same if it detects no signal).

To go from BP being high enough to need meds, to 83/49 seems a bit extreme. Get yourself checked Geoff (even if it is going back to 'normal'), it's not done that for no reason.

110/70 is ok, but you wouldnt need to take tabs at that level..assuming the machine is accurate; thats why it needs checking and you too, to see what it is afa the nurses think with their machine.

hopefully that 83/49 was an error as thats dangerously low

I was told the self test machines, the cuff (EDIT, mine is a wrist type) type in particular, are generally thought to read low.

I was told to add 10 to the high reading and 5 to the low reading.

I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Why? The machine I use is the same make and model as used in my local surgery.

I may have misled, mine is a wrist one not cuff, a Sanitas. At the surgery it's a more professional one.

My BP is 90 over 60, resting pulse 60. I'm barely alive. When I raise my arms my veins disappear, then lower them they all swell. I also got anemia.
