No good my buying a Morrisons food box, it's bound to contain items I don't eat. I have particular, largely vegetarian tastes.

The only expired stuff I consider eating is crisps and biscuits, anything else is too iffy in my book.

Some hippy bastard just pushed me in the street, so I punched him in the back of the head. I'm 6ft 2" and only 70kg so he probably thought I was pushover, which I am, but still, he didn't come back for more.

    Was the 'push' deliberate?

You did the right thing, immediate retribution is the only answer. Getting the police involved is as ineffectual as just shrugging it off, and just puts you in the frame for prime suspect if you later decide to sort things yourself.

Long term you might consider moving away from Brighton, which seems to have no redeeming qualities.

I spent three days there once living in someone's garage, I don't have fond memories.

It's a long story and the only interesting part was that the garage was built on the site of a house that was destroyed by a V1 flying bomb.
