This is why the public sector is such a safe job, if you're worried you're running out of things to do, there's always a new government round the corner who'll get you to reverse everything you've done for the last 5/10/15 years.

Probably not so good for job satisfaction if you actually take pride in what you do though.

    I thought that too.

Could also be we'll see something major from Putin to bolster his dented ego/image.

I expect him and his army to cross border and take Kiev in a swift raid, just like he did in Rostov.
Kiev need to be very careful as I think it's a, not very well camouflaged trap by Russia.

It's pretty well camouflaged with all the aircraft they apparently shot down on the way to Moscow and the PR damage to Putin.

No one has a clue, all the experts, no one. All we know is Russia is an unstable nuclear power, and things might reach a critical point in the next few days/weeks/months.

Live at the apollo, it's never funny is it? I mean never. Fast forward, then turn off. It's usually a middle class woman, a middle class white guy, and then a Muslim bloke, and it's never, ever funny. Tonight it was 2 women, and some scouse guy who's a bit chubby, and bases his act around that, and it's shite, and I'm turning off.

I have to agree Mike, the few episodes I have watched have been pretty humourless.

I have been watching a lot of the Dry Bar Comedy channel on YouTube, some really funny comedians.
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Yeah they bloody well ought to. But I saw it reported that there will be no more smart motorways started, the plans have been shelved. They'll just finish the ones they started.

Travelling north up the M6 today, there had been a crash at the Sandbach junction in Cheshire. It was absolute chaos, my phone sat nav saying get into the 4th lane as it is the only one working, the car sat nav saying come of at the junction.

I felt sorry for the driver of the attending fire engine, who must have been cursing the lack of hard shoulder as he tried to thread his ten foot wide bulk through four lanes of stationary traffic. I bet the car was a burned out shell by the time he arrived.

It was so bad it made rail travel look like an attractive option.

I saw a few car fires on my way round northern Britain last week. Maybe it is the hot weather or the fact folk are hanging onto old wrecks for longer as cost of living bites!? I fear it is only going to get worse and if you get caught in the wrong position on a "smart" motorway.
