I was a bit severe in my condemnation of "fusion" - it's such a large genre that it's unfair to generalise. Also there are some practioners of it that I do like: Weather Report, Maniege, early Santana, Soft Machine, and Colosseum.

With respect to Wyndham Hill you should try Michael Hedges - Aerial Boundaries, a highly talented and accomplished guitarist who created several new techniques, amazing. Sadly he died young in a car crash, just as he was becoming famous.

Another £2 find on yesterdays trip out, I wondered how this would sound, it is a rather refined recording with sophisticated Latin rhythm, and is rather good. According to the record notes "Onda Nueva" is a swinging 3/4 time measure originating from Venezuala, other sources say it is derived from the Bossa Nova.
