But then I do give her plenty to worry about - I'm not fit to be out and about without a responsible adult.
Yesterday she got a parking ticket through the post, because her car was parked on Stockton on Tees Premier Inn's car park without authorisation. That was me going to NEBO. Apparently I should have got it validated by the hotelBloke at the hotel is going to try to sort it for us, otherwise it's 60 quid, which is a tenner more than the hotel stay cost me.
Let me know if they don't sort it and I'll chuck you my half of it.

I still base everything around that Japanese hotel in Amsterdam where a small brandy cost 25 euro. And that was 20 years ago. I bought a round and it cost all the euros I'd brought with me and we'd only been on holiday for an hour.

Sorry I shouldn't laugh really, if that were me I'd be properly gnashing... I'm not averse to spending my money, but that's just taking the piss.
As for Cranage - I suppose the eye-watering prices are offset to some degree by the free admission, and on balance still worth going. Other shows would charge for admission and probably still be stupidly expensive while there. As well as being staged in the wrong parts of the country.
I'll try not to knock over my first pint this year, some savings to be made there
