“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Thanks Grant, I have suspected for sometime my USB cable was a problem. Think the connectors were poor quality and caused drop outs on the digital data stream which turned off the DDC.

Having had this issue a number of times now and other digital hiccups I have now identified and resolved the problem. It was a poor USB C - USB B cable. Who says cables don't matter!?. I have purchased something much better and the digital gremlins have been banished!
I just wanted to play some music, but...

Had this cable made up by a friend. It uses some unbelievably pure copper manufactured for top secret military applications. The process is also new and involves some sort of extruding process that has just been developed. The copper used has never been used before in a cable and is so pure and the atomic alignment of the molecules is so perfect it cannot be measured.

I am going to wire up my whole system with this stuff including my amplifiers, speakers, plug sockets. lamps and the hoover.

Once heard never forgotten, in fact it is so transparent it cannot be heard and makes all the rest of your components in the system almost visible. You would not believe the potential your system has until you try this stuff.
