Going here tomorrow, for a 3 day stay. Looks a bit too posh for us, we'll be like Beverly Hillbillies. But should be a nice break. We're getting some walking boots later, though getting from the car park to the shops and cafes will probably be as arduous as it gets. Thanks guys, I think it is just a bit ott, and I'm not sure i can relax properly in a space that pristine. As long as it's clean enough that if I drop my burger on the floor i can pick it up and eat it, that'll do for me.
But less than £100 per night for the two of us, that's not bad. Won't be that cheap by Easter, when the hoardes descend

I went into the office of the local double glazing company who provided much of my jobs for the past 3 years, and told them to stick their work where the sun don't shine. In the politest possible way. Too much grief for too little money. I did my sums and decided I can do as well going back on my own, doing just a couple of days a week - finally I will be back in charge of my diary.
I came away feeling like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and Mrs. P is really chuffed too. She'll change her mind soon enough after a few weeks of me under her feet with my music tastes
I can now wear my old Plain Lazy t shirt with pride, though I may have to shed a few pounds - it seems to have shrunk in the wash.

easiest way to sort is secretly buy a bigger one and put it on in a few weeks of supposed dieting
