We have one of those gas fires that looks like a coal fire, we don't use it very often though it works well. Makes the room a cosier place, but obviously does nothing for the rest of the house.

Got a letter from DVLA yesterday informing me my van is not currently taxed (I pay by direct debit) because the MOT ran out 21/12/22. I really should be better organised with this stuff, but with two vans a car and two motorbikes on the go, there's always something.

Gives me an excuse to stay home a bit longer, but I need to get it sorted asap.

During the early months in our relationship Shirley's soon to be ex-husband cancelled her car insurance without telling her.

So that was 7 months of uninsured driving before finding out,
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Good grief, that could easily have become seriously bad. And these days with ANPR everywhere the best likely outcome is that the police take your car off you, and you get 6 points and a fine. Also the insurance companies take a dim view. Sounds like Shirley was well rid of him.

Newsflash! (on my laptop). A tree has come down in Devon, causing traffic problems. I'm probably better informed than the Devonians, but then they probably heard about the 30 or so sheep grazing on a traffic island near me this morning before I did.

The way traffic is these days it will probably have a knock-on effect as far as Chorley.

Sheep grazing on a traffic island, how more semi-rural can you get?
