I had mine done by micro suction about 4 months ago. Used to have them done once a year at the surgery by the water pump method. I have Tinnitus that was made worse by Covid. I found the micro suction really loud and was concerned about it making my Tinnitus even worse but it doesn't seem to have. Very efficient cleaning method but mine was £70 for about 10 mins. Yeah I was thinking that, a licence to print money. And I bet they make a bit more by selling the removed wax on to the people who make Marmite
I would have to spend 3 hours up a ladder in all weathers for that kind of money.
If I was called out to adjust a door for a micro-suctioneer (is that a word?), a job taking about ten minutes, then said "£70 please", he'd have a right face on him.
If I had my time over again... I'd still avoid Marmite
