Yeah I was thinking that, a licence to print money. And I bet they make a bit more by selling the removed wax on to the people who make Marmite

I would have to spend 3 hours up a ladder in all weathers for that kind of money.

If I was called out to adjust a door for a micro-suctioneer (is that a word?), a job taking about ten minutes, then said "£70 please", he'd have a right face on him.

If I had my time over again... I'd still avoid Marmite

marmite on toast, as long as you spread it thin, is great ... i like bovril as a drink too and use bovril chicken and beef in dishes im making sometimes as a boost.
its as they say a em, marmite taste tho.. the aussie version, vegimite i find fairly ghastly tho.

Bovril is proper - as a kid I'd always have a cup of Bovril and a bag of crisps in Saul Street Baths cafe. Without that incentive I probably wouldn't have learned to swim.

Remember a naval war film, think it was in which we serve where the captain gives army officers they rescued at Dunkirk, I think, Bovril and sherry mixed which they all raved about.

Dozens of Clarence House staff have been given notice of their redundancy as the offices of King Charles and the Queen Consort move to Buckingham Palace after the death of the Queen, the Guardian has learned.

Up to 100 employees at the King’s former official residence, including some who have worked there for decades, received notification that they could lose their jobs just as they were working round the clock to smooth his elevation to the throne.

Private secretaries, the finance office, the communications team and household staff are among those who received notice during the thanksgiving service for the Queen, at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh on Monday, that their posts were on the line.

Whoever made the decision to inform them during this period of mourning, they want bloody sacking. A much better way to reduce the wages bill.

A very shoddy way to treat loyal staff. Obviously there would be a duplication of staff, but there must be better ways to soften the blow. One can only hope the redundancy package is generous.

No shortage of B complex supplements on the market. Even if it came in suppository form that would be preferable to Marmite. Having said that I don't take any vitamin supplements, so no doubt I will probably be deficient in something, and in that respect I envy Marmite fans their tolerance for things that just taste wrong.

We have Marmite, but it never occurs to me to eat any. The missus does though.
