No. A night in the pub would probably hospitalise me, alcohol seems to clash with my meds so I've had to pack it in. Much to my disappointment.

I love vintage racing bikes, a sixties Freddie Grubb or Claud Butler would be very nice.

Waiting to see if I'm going to be banned from a forum for being a mysogynist. I don't believe I am, but perhaps I just can't see it?

my mate had a claud butler racer when a teenager. i had an old steel framed bike(nhad a good name tho but I cant remember it). we used to cycle out to places like loch lomond/ trossachs with them when only 13/14/15. you'd get jailed for letting kids do that now i guess.

Sorry to hear about the clash between your meds and alcohol.

My mate has quite a few bikes, he works for a scrap metal company and it is amazing what is dumped - he got a Geoffrey Butler in fair nick from the scrap (he also has a Grubb ).
My collection includes; a Carpenter, MBK,Carlton, Raleigh (made by Carlton), Dancelli, F C Parkes and a Mercian - all steel, the Carpenter frame dates back to about 1957 and is a lovely ride.
Started as a hobby doing up scrap bikes, and got a bit out of control!

I also have an Orange "clockwork" MTB, but my wife seems to have taken that.

I found a scruffy vintage Puch racer dumped in the street years ago. I tarted it up a bit, put flat bars on and rode it to work (and the pub) for ten years. It was a good bike! Did over 2000 miles a year on it.

Found a good picture on ebay, it's a Puch Cavalier from the seventies. The very same model as mine, I recognise the frame lugs and chainguard. I painted mine white and as I said, put flat bars on.
