    The only reason Mrs. P should walk out in protest over the playing of "Hot Rats" (which BTW is a record everyone should have in their collection), would be because Captain Beefheart only appears on the one track.

    One can't have too much of the sadly late departed Captain - he was, in his own way, as much a genius as Zappa.

    Try 'Thrak' by King Crimson, I reckon that might work too.
    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    I can usually get away with Zappa, Gong not so much.... The worst reaction I've had was Rush, for some reason she really loathes it, had a total wig out when I put 2112 on over dinner once

    Mealtime music is a tricky one, although it would take something really out there to put me off my food. Next dinner time, try "Here come the Fleas" by White Noise, see what happens. At the very least you'll get to eat her meal too
