Norris and Seagal can be unintentionally funny. I mean who has not played the 'Under Siege 2' drinking game?

Van Damme has nothing to recommend him though - personality-free - always worth avoiding.

I also avoid anything with Robin Williams.

Quaid or Cage is an amber warning. Likewise anything with one or more of the Bridges or Baldwin brothers in it. It might be okay but be prepared for it to be crap.

Cruse is an odd one because although his appearance means it probably will be at least watchable, he will be annoying in it. Paradoxically, his best films are the ones were he is really annoying ('Rain Man', 'The Color Of Money')

I'm not sure whether Mr Quaid is drawn towards cack film roles, or if it's his presence that makes an ok film cack, but cack is generally the result. It might be something to do with his face, no offence Dennis.

His Laddie is doing great in Amazon's "The Boy's" as one of its main characters.
He's got his Old Man's charisma.

Agreed, to which I would add Adam Sandler. I'm also weary of films starring the very annoying Tom Cruise, though he wa excellent in 'Rain Man' and 'Eyes Wide Shut'.

didnt do well in cinema but won a few oscars i think. its not in my library ..

'Frequency' is in mine. Although not a great film by any means, and a load of nonsense with the changing of history thing, there were some nice touches to show that history had been changed: the fading of the scortch marks on the work bench for example.

its a decent film, but could have been better. not especially blaming the actors. direction and script were limiting. but its still enjoyable.
