What I like about vintage classics like the H2 is that they have 'presence', and so now stand out from the crowd, which is what I like, rather than blending in like a clone, riding some (undoubtedly superbly engineered), but ultimately boring looking (in comparison) homogenised 2-wheel creation, devoid of 'character'....
I like being an individual and following a different path from the mainstream masses!

Firstly, the 'spokes & chrome' thang really only applies to bikes. There are only a few vintage cars I like with spoked wheels. Chrome yes, as I like polishing things
Secondly, Del looks comically ridiculous in the Brabster (especially driving it everywhere at 40mph). It's *soo* NOT her, just not a girly car. If she got it though, she'd probably try turning it into one!
She'll get something suitable of her own in due course. The driving force for that isn't as strong as it was, as she now works in town, rather than 15 miles away, so walks to college most days - and more importantly, LIKES being chauffeured around like a princess!
I'd love an H2, but I suspect my biking days are over, as these days I like my creature comforts too much! I had my fill of frostbitten fingers and snot when I was younger, lol. Maybe if we ever move abroad to a warmer climate

My first bike was a GT250, reg no. LED 556P. Look at that, still remember the reg number after 40 odd years! It was definitely the worst bike I ever had though - before I rode it on the road I did a half day riding course in a school playground, and it packed up halfway through and was trailered back to the shopAnd it wouldn't go round corners without crashing, though some of that might have been me
When a few months later I took it to a dealers to trade in for my next bike (Suzuki X7) it died on the dealers forecourt, and it sounded terminal.
