I seldom use pay at pump any more. The £99 limit only fills the Rangey’s tank to about 3/4…

In any case, it's not something I'd ever use, same as self-service checkouts at supermarkets, which I similarly boycott, as I like to be SERVED, and indeed am paying for the privilege!
Therefore, in a petrol station, I want to go into the shop, hand over my card or cash/loyalty card, and let the ASSISTANT do the rest. There's also hardly ever anyone at the station I use, so it's not as if I have to wait in a queue, so feck yer pay at the pump pish

That might be fine where you live (where the most common mode of transport is still horse & cart, or a sheep with a saddle), but in the real world there are often queues in kiosks. So if you're so 'queue averse' your chosen payment method would be just plain wrong. I put the fuel in, pay the pump, and off I go. Zero queues. No masks. What could be simpler?Lol... As I said, I'm not even sure there *exists* that facility in many stations here. However, now you've piqued my interest, I shall have a look next time!
And why does living in Wrexham not equate to 'the real world'? I wouldn't have thought that Preston, as a town, was much bigger?
Also, remember that I fill up the Brabster at off-peak times, when all the daftees are at work, which is one of the reasons why it's quiet!
