The Comancheros, 1961. Directed by Michael Curtiz, although Wayne supposedly had a hand in it too. Stars John Wayne, Lee Marvin, Stuart Whitman and Ina Balin.
A bit of 'comic book' style to this, but it is fun. Despite being set in Texas in 1843, all the characters use Winchester lever-action rifles and Colt Peacemaker pistols which were not in production until almost three decade later.

They pulled a similar fiddle in 'Zulu', no surprise that we won. Of course in the prequel 'Zulu Dawn' we get stuck with the historically correct weapons. yes, the were short of Martini Henry rifles so used others that were disguised and shot from different angles .. Apparently there were 20k bullets fired by the garrison and they killed 400... They also killed most of the wounded apparently after the battle.
But it was in most part, fairly honest. The character of Henry Hook was a liberty apparently.

The Godfather Pt 2, 1974. directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
Initial critical reception of The Godfather Part II was divided, with some dismissing the work and others declaring it superior to the first film. While its cinematography and acting were immediately acclaimed, many criticized it as overly slow-paced and convoluted. Vincent Canby viewed the film as "stitched together from leftover parts.
