    Kinda like it!

Actually looked at this one when picking up my current dac,
preferred the option of programmable FPGA and free software upgrades down the line, so went with PS Audio.
It looks better IMO than the gold finished version (and cheaper too), but as you say it would have been better if all of the case was the same colour. Also I don't like the different shaped buttons used.

    Agree Barry,
Buttons should be the same to keep the Design consistent.

Obviously a design decision to separate functional button operation, but has inconsistency across the whole.
Should all be circular to match the biggest visual element, the volume knob.

Or even better, check out the gear from this company (click on 'Picture Gallery'): http://www.thoeress.com/en/preamplifier/

Gives me a chubby just LOOKING at that preamp!!

No-one else does 'science lab audio' like it.... And look at this for a power amp - like summat out a WW2 ammo factory: http://www.thoeress.com/en/845-mono-amplifier/

Would love to hear some of their gear in a proper demo. Hi-fi equipment should always look PURPOSEFUL, not 'sexy'!!

No that's just nasty with the red sides. If I saw it in a skip I'd leave it. There's a way to do gold bling and that's not it.
