Noisy, hellishly hot with the roof up and an absolute hoot!
Note that the only reason I put the roof up was that the heavens opened on the way back from Wiltshire when I collected it. It’s only going out in the sunshine with the top down in future!

Very nice Adam, I always fancied one of those but never got round to it.Indeed. The garage owner also had to jump through hoops with Land Rover to get the right wiring diagram out of them as it was made right on the cusp of when BMW sold Land Rover to Ford, and so it didn't quite correspond to any of the standard wiring diagrams.
So hopefully, the Beobloke car situation is looking up. Especially as my new weekend toy is safely tucked away in the garage after I collected it at the weekend. It's a lot simpler than the RR fortunately...

I’ve lusted after a Marcos for many years. My mum was born and grew up in Westbury, where they were made. She loved the place until the day she died, and her cousins lived there all their lives. We were regular visitors throughout my life as they were the closest thing I had to an aunt and uncle as both mum and dad were only children.
Well, in 1993 or thereabouts, when I was 19, my ‘aunt’ mentioned that a friend of hers worked for Marcos and would I like a look round the factory? I didn’t have to be asked twice and so was shown round the two Nissen huts on the West Wilts Trading Estate on a Saturday morning, followed by a blast round the B-roads of Wiltshire beside the company’s Sales Director in a brand new Mantara. As I got out afterwards wearing one of the biggest grins I’ve ever had, I vowed then and there that I would own one, one day.
Consequently, when mum died last year, it seemed obvious that I had to divert some of my inheritance towards one, and here it is. Obviously I’m sad that mum never got to see it but I like to think she would approve, albeit in a “my god, you’ll kill yourself in that” kind of way! Some friends of ours are already taking bets on which tree along the road down to the local village I’ll wrap it round first…
