The great majority of re-masters are IMO pretty poor. Why can't the record companies just leave things alone and learn how to press records properly - instead of milking their libraries with 'limited editions', 'immersion collections'; 'anniversary releases', or whatever the latest marketing idea it is that has come to their mind.Originally Posted by AJSki2fly
Re-listening to this one given to me by my friend Jon, considering it has had only one clean and is 50 years old it is amazingly good. It's not a 1st press but is very early on probably 3rd press from the same year, I also have to much more recent 2016 re-mastered release. What is noticeable on the original is that there is much more punch and definition, especially to the bass, transients and dynamics seem much better. It is a favourite of mine as it came out when I was in 6th form college and we listened to it a lot and I have always liked it, I was never very happy with re-master so I very pleased to have an early copy that sounds great.
