I fitted a bigger rear sprocket the other day to give even more insane acceleration, because obviously it isn't fast enough already, but it will reduce the top speed significantly, so I should be good to go

And to be fair, anything over 150mph on a naked bike has ones head wobbling around more than Sturgeon giving evidence under oath.

Obviously the sprocket had to be KTM orange..

I predict frequent rear tyre purchases - hope you've budgeted

If you could just shave another 2.5 seconds off your 0-60, you'll be arriving before you set off - something to aim for!

There doesn't look to be a great deal of chain clearance, what was the original sprocket size?

38>40 teeth.
There’s plenty of clearance and plenty of chain adjustment.
It’s a very common mod on that bike as it increases the revs in the lower gears and makes for a smoother ride.
Much better for 3rd gear wheelies as well

I will need some tyres next month for my Speed Triple. Will use the PR4's for my 1st track day next month and then will swap them for summat stickier for my next track day.

Got my renewal notice from Bennetts yesterday for the Pony Express. Gone up from £186 to £251, even though I haven't made a claim in 18 years. And they've put a value of £1500 on it, though I know that age of Blade with such low miles and in that condition will be worth double that and then some. Taking the piss.

I know if I called them and said I've had a better quote they would do something about it, but tough titty - they should have come with a competitive quote in the first place, instead of trying it on. Time to shop around. A quote from Hastings is coming in cheaper than Bennetts was last year.

my last car was with hastings.. good prices normally

Yes, Hastings are looking favourite... I can also save a bit if I pay it in one go - normally it goes out in monthly instalments but APR is quite hefty. And I can afford it for a change, been a better than normal earning year, thanks to no bugger going on holiday.

Have you tried Grove and Dean, or Adrian Flux for insurance?
Let us know if you get a more competitive quote.
