They weren't so great for Alan Bradley.

The BBC reckon they will charge £453 a year if they go to subscription.

You have to laugh.. They would go bust pretty damned quick as nobody in right mind would pay that for the shite they put on.

Sure they think its a great threat, but the powers that be should say.. Bring it on!

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I would be quite happy to do without the BBC - we spend much more time on Freeview and Netflix at the moment.
Looks like the BBC would have to rethink their salary structures if they were to go down this route

But that would mean no more programming excellence like 'Inside The Factory' not to mention all the cooking, dancing and singing shows, the soaps and the hospital dramas, the relentless left-wing agenda, and updates on the 'Climate Crisis.'

Actually you're right, we wouldn't miss it at all.

    Good news all round then?

They'd still have us paying for TV licences though!
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I had to look up who he is - yep, waste of space.

Currently getting pissed off with the number of "celebrities " hosting programs about their "favourite places". Usually involving them in an all expenses paid jolly to somewhere exotic for which they get paid thousands of pounds "wages"

Then there's his mate (not as big a cock as Gregg but still a cock) Chris Bavin, the look on Mary Berry's face when he was talking on one of those celebrities cooking shite programmes said it all.
