Problem is that if it’s not cut right, I look like a thug bouncer. Needs to be heavy on top. I’ll let it grow until I look a bit french.

Clipper the back and sides and leave the top then. Just cut your fringe back. The set I got came with some barber scissors which are handy for doing that.

Get your lady to do it, five minute job.

Number 2 for me (yes I know ) - given up shaving and just give whole lot the "once over" with a nifty little Philips trimmer.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Hmm. I'm more in the 'Popeye the Sailor Man' mould, I even have a wife with a passing resemblance to Olive Oyl.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Aye, if he wants to look like a zoomer!

Rob's a young guy with a fine head of hair, and still a few years away yet from the 'middle-aged I don't give a fuck look', and so I'll just fire a mini-flymo over my nut and hope for the best'!

Plus, his partner and kids probably don't want him to look like an escaped convict! Honestly, you single blokes, with no-one else to consider and a penchant for tightwaddery, need to acknowledge that others live in a rather different world

To cut a thick and/or long amount of hair, on men or women, PROPERLY, requires SKILL, which is why you have to go to college to be trained and attain the necessary qualifications. Sometimes it pays to put your hand in your pocket and leave certain jobs to the professionals

    Carry on
