Here's what I was referring to above, for Adam, or anyone else who likes that sort of thing:



On the left is an old Chianti wine bottle, which she stripped of its labels and put some 'spangly' lights inside. Looks quite effective I think!





Everything there, apart from the lights, was from bits just lying in our garden. and she also made the pompoms. Makes the kitchen look nice and cosy and Christmassy!

They look great Marco, so much nicer than 99% of the crap you would pay through the nose for down the shops.

And I can see that Del got her inspiration for the pom poms from the BBC's computer graphics of the Coronavirus. Very topical!

But yes, you're right much better than some of the crap you get in the shops, but most importantly for Del (as she's a major greeny), it's all made from stuff we had, recyclable and environmentally friendly

Lol... I found the old penny in the garden and cleaned it up. We treat it as a lucky charm

Mrs B also bought some of these lights with the bottle stopper, they're USB rechargeable and we repurposed some unusual gin bottles as lamps.
