Nice one, Neil. Out of interest, what made you go for such a large capacity machine? Do you have a big family who all drink strong coffee? If not, 9 cups is a lot for one (or even two) people to drink in the one go, and for the machine to produce the best results, the filler needs to be full to the max with coffee.

Okies, cool. That looks great, and pretty much what you want. How did it taste compared with what you're normally used to?
However, just looking at the consistency/thickness of the crema, you *may* benefit further from either reducing the grind slightly, making it a little less coarse, using a *little* more coffee and/or tamping the grinds down *very slightly* more. It should be a little thicker/gloopier.
Also, although you may like Lavazza Red, you can do MUCH better on the beans front!

Another wee thing, do you guys (Gaz and Neil) heat up your cup or mug before filling it with coffee? That makes quite a difference in terms of how long the coffee stays warm for.
I always boil some water and fill my mug up with it, and let the water sit there, while the coffee is being made, then empty it out just before pouring the coffee in

I got a kilo of Lavazza for lockdown office coffee.
Nowhere near as much oils come off it as the posh stuff it must be said.
I do heat my cup with a swish of boiled water when I am prepping my V60 dripper.
