I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

No but I could do as there's a DAC built in to the pre-amp. Might experiment with that if I get really bored.

Almost all of my cd players are faulty, the only other working players I have are Marantz CD54 and CD67SE, another Pioneer DVD player and a Samsung Blu-Ray. I'm not that keen on the Marantz house sound which is why I'm not using them.I was surprised to see you using that as your source when I seem to recall you've got some reasonable cd players? I've used the Pioneer as my daily driver before, visitors were surprised at the quality of it.

Tried the Pioneer as a transport but can't get a peep out of it. Either my digital cable is broken or I need to play about with the menu settings in the Pioneer. Which means hooking it up to a screen. Maybe later...
