    it just wasn’t getting played as much as it used to after upgrading my digital.

    I’d I lost the urge to go through the ritual of putting on a record, the sound quality just wasn’t there...and that was with the full Orbe upgrades and an SME V on it.
    In comparison, the Rega is “alive” and puts you in the room with the musicians.
    Just makes you want to play more vinyl, which is something the Michell had lost for me.
    Interestingly, it doesn’t sound anything at all like traditional vinyl with its warmth and cosiness, closest I’ve heard to it is a sorted reel to reel playing master tape.

    And no clamp or spring bounce to faff about with, stick a record on...boom.

    Yeh i know i have had four different Michelll decks & everyone i have felt the same too..

    I bought this old Jap deck for the same reasons, no bouncing all over, Even has auto return because i just cannot be arsed to jump out the seat when the side has finished playing. Even has a very gentle reject button so i never have to use the cue lever if needed
