Mmm... Perhaps, Geoff, however I remain unconvinced - and I'm certainly not going to entertain watching goodness knows how many episodes of it, which I've missed so far, to catch up!
The other aspect of this is that when TV programmes/series are massively hyped up and hugely popular (such as G.o.T or Downtown Abbey), it tends to turn me off. If I'd watched them, I'd have felt a bit like a sheep/joining a bandwagon, and that's rather off-putting. When something becomes too mainstream, for me it just lacks appeal.
I tend to prefer stuff that's a bit more obscure/under the radar, and which attracts more of a cult following. However, there are exceptions to that, and much depends on whether the concept/theme of a TV series 'grabs' me initially or not, and G.o.T never did that. Good luck though, to those who enjoy it

...a nice wee razor blade or two!Great for blinding folk, or ripping cheeks in a rather savage way. You can do a lot of damage with a rusty razor blade, especially if you cut a few nicks in it, so that it rips flesh, rather than slices it, thus making the subsequent wound difficult to stitch
