I feel the same way, I feel it should only be given to individuals who they can verify has an actual chemical imbalance in their brain. But family doctors prescribe this stuff as if it were Valium, to anyone who’s had a bad day. I’m no brain surgeon, but it would seem prescribing this stuff to people without a chemical imbalance would give them a chemical imbalance?

On the TV commercials for prescription drugs, I notice a growing number who make the disclaimer that it may cause suicidal thoughts, including meds for fibromyalgia, to quit smoking, and sleeping pills. Does anyone know what part of the brain is responsible for suicide, and which part is responsible for homicide? I don’t think there is a difference! Are they creating mass murderers on purpose? I saw an article that claimed that 98% of all mass murderers of the past 30 years were on some kind of antidepressant! I went back later to find the article to share with someone, and it was gone! When it comes to the powers that be, and the news we are fed, the only thing I’m sure of is that nothing is as it seems. I don’t want to come across like a conspiracy nut, but at this point nothing surprises me.

I used to work with a youth who was on anti-depressants. He showed me the leaflet that came with his pills. There was a list of potential side-effects as long as your arm. In addition to constipation, insomnia, loss of appetite, loss of energy, headaches, sensitivity to light and so on, was listed 'depression'.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone who was made happy by these pills? Which is what the name implies.

Changing the subject, to all the musicians in the group, I recently got a wireless for my bass guitar! It’s made for regular 6 strings guitars, but claims 20Hz to 20KHz signal. The X-Vive guitar wireless, is just two small key fob sized devices with 1/4 inch plugs on them, they have 4 channels, so many can be on the same stage, or you could put a set on either side of your pedal board.

But for my bass it works wonderful! (Fender P bass with Seymour Duncan pickups) A strong, clean signal, in fact it sounds cleaner than a 20 foot cable! Has built in rechargeable batteries, that works with any USB charger. They claim to run 6 hours on a charge, and my phone charger topped them off in 45 minutes. They cost $150 for the set, and I could kick myself for not buying them years ago! No more getting tangled in my wire, or pulling my guitar off the stand. I can walk to the recording gear without taking my bass off. I don’t know how I got by without it?

So far so good! I’ve used them through about 3 band practices, and could not be happier! The instructions do say that if you have interference problems, it’s your problem to deal with. Sorry Nigel

Now that is a great piece of kit Russell, nice and compact too. I had a Nady years ago which worked well but had a monstrous appetite for batteries. I also had a wireless headset mike for vocals but couldn't get on with it, ended up going back to my trusty old Shure SM58.
