This is absolutely true. Personally, I would never saying anything on a forum that I wouldn’t be prepared to say to the same person face to face, but it seems that not al people operate this way!

You'd think in this day and age that technology could remove the anonymity that internet trolls and bullies enjoy, but what do I know?

I personally find it easier to talk to folk via this laptop than face to face with actual human beings, but that's just my shy nature and I would never disrespect anyone, whether in person or otherwise. We all deserve better than that.

I say that trolls deserve a good beating with the wet end of their own severed arm, and if I ever came face to face with one I'd deny ever saying that

It was on pfm, many years ago. I doubt it's still in the archives, as TonyL prunes the audio section regularly. Mick Parry and some other bloke were on the brink of an arranged fight in Birmingham arising from a heated discussion about cables, tlll they were laughed out of the idea by most pfm'ers.

Ah I see... The very image of Mick Parry, the archetypal hen-pecked husband, and who couldn't punch his way out of a tea cosy, 'fighting' anyone, is hilarious!!

Sounds like what happened when I first went to Scalford and met the rampant keyboard warriors, from the old WAM [largely socially dysfunctional, corpulent middle-aged men, who in real life wouldn't say boo to a goose] - oh how I laughed!!

In real life I'm a shy and retiring, socially awkward nerd with low self-esteem, who's completely lacking in self-confidence - and on top of that I'm a joyless prude, so if we meet, don't dare say so much as 'bum', in front of me, or I'll be so offended
