I have 2 spare boards if anyone else is interested.

£30 + postage and i'll post anywhere in the world!

BOM and Build tips/pointers will be added to this thread in the very near future.

    Hi Andy,

Ha! Thanks. Just a mock up at the minute.

I plan on getting a nice chassis for the Bigbottle phonostage I have and getting some sort of logo put on it.

I'll trial a few more before I'm settled.

    Still have one board left.

Decided I'd build the other into a possible loan unit which could be used to see whether you'd like the finished board.

Made a start on it today.

A little more on the board.

Put the jumper wires in. Added a bit of red sleeve to highlight their position on the board. I don't normally bother but not a bad idea to try and protect a wandering finger.

A few resistors and Zeners on order from farnell. Should be here tomorrow so hopefully I can get a bit more done.

Been away from this project for a little while with illness, making cables and sending Bigbottle PCBs to the UK, USA, Singapore, Germany, Netherlands, South Africa and more.

This is now truly a worldwide product, that I hope will be thoroughly enjoyed. The best bit for me is how cheaply this can be built and that is making a valve phonostage available to those with basic DIY skills.

I'm very pleased that the DIY community is having a go!

Caught up a bit on my own board today. All the parts are now in place and that includes the little SMD FET. Sweet Jesus, that took some effort.

A top tip: get some reverse tweezers.

I am now waiting for some isolation pads for the heat sinks and then it will be ready to go in a box.

In the pics, there is a resistor standing on end. This is the loading for my cart. I know what value I want because I've already done the hard yards on the original. If you don't know what you want, run some wire to a pair of RCA sockets and make loading plugs. Basically just a resistor of whatever value you need, soldered between the live and ground on the plug. Then you can either make multiple pairs or just change the resistor in your plug.

You will need loading plugs or resistors for this phonostage.
