What I think needs to happen is some sort of 'escrow' system where both the buyer and seller must leave feedback - positive or negative - on the transaction within (say) 14 days, but neither feedback score is displayed until both parties have left it. This allows both buyer and seller to give their honest assesment of the transaction without fear of being given 'tit-for-tat' negative feedback, for example.
