I would argue that coffee is part of everyone's culture anyway, second only to tea (after water of course) - all started in Ethiopia though not Napoli. I do understand your passion for Italian culture and your preference for espresso, but they are not the only show in town
Didn't say it was, but as I said before, personally it would hold zero interest for me in somewhere like Singapore. I'd be more likely to drink tea, a local soft drink, or if it was served, some form of alcohol.

I'm not one of these folk, who when on holiday, needs his 'fix' of something he has regularly back home. I'm quite happy to do without familiar stuff completely and enjoy something different!

The worst for that, in my experience, (not YOU though, lol) are Brits on Spanish package holidays to beach resorts, with their mania for egg & chips!!
