ELP weren't MY first ever gig (see earlier in first bit of thread), but I did see THEIR first ever gig. Bloody good it was, too.
Time flies like an arrow.
Fruit flies like a banana.
That brings back some memories...I saw them at Newcastle City Hall on the tour that was recorded, I also remember that they were supported by a very early glam rock version of Japan, they didn't go down well with the BOC audience...cans were thrown
My first gigs were the previous year '77, however I can't remember the exact sequence, probably Uriah Heep first (innocent victim tour NCH), Rush (all the world's a stage NCH), Judas Priest (sin after sin, pre leather, Rob Halford wearing a police jacket! NM), and the Stranglers (Rattus Norvegicus H&A, my elder brother took me, a real eye opener for me)![]()

I love the fact that they list who is on the "Unannounced" stage today! Heaven 17 tonight. A lot of the acts I've never heard of, though...

I'm Richard.
The last concert I went to see was Aphex Twin at the Forbidden Fruit Festival in Dublin about a month ago.
Excellent day out, excellent music (although a bit bass heavy). And the Eye Candy was AWESOME!!!!!!
