I think it originated from farmers growing food that tastes like shit until it is cooked. Seriously, I'd have to say it comes from when I was a kid. My mother had very simple tastes, and cooked accordingly. She could not even be in the same room as an onion or clove of garlic.Lol - what are you like!

Eaten using Japanese chopsticks (of course!). Followed by
