Well no one got this (not many tried). The hotel was like the one in carry on abroad except it was two friendly young ladies who did everything rather than Peter Butterworth. (Hallo I’m Stewart Farquhar, stupid what?).

Ellie and Rosie manned reception, cleaned the rooms, served the food, called the bingo, served at the bar etc. all with a huge smile on their faces, even dealing with us miserable moaning bunch if bastards.

    Isle of Wight.

Never been, no wonder I didn't recognise it.

European seafronts all look the same to me unless there's some notable landmark.

When I was a child we would often go to the IOW for our holidays. I liked it, but that was back in the '60s. Not sure what I would think of the place today.

Yes, went with my parents in the sixties and seventies. Last year we went was 1975, West Ham played Fulham in the FA cup and while trying to get a decent signal to listen to it on our radio I tried to position it on top of one of the caravans wall units only to find it had no top. My dad and me had to employ cutlery to dismantle enough of the caravan to get our radio back.

    Somewhere in Jersey.

Spent a few holidays there in the past. What currency do they now use: pounds or euros? (Shows how long ago it was when I was last there!)

    Default Off on my travels

St Helier for a few days, still pounds.

Flight was delayed at Gatwick longer than the actual flight lasted!

Just enjoying a pint of liberation ale in the blue note bar.
