My two favourite Monty Python films are 'Life of Brian' and 'The Meaning of Life'. For some reason I never found 'Holy Grail' that funny; it has it's moments, but IMO it is not as good as the other two.

Ice Cold In Alex. 1958.
The film was shot in Libya, as Egypt was ruled out because of the recent Suez crisis. In the bar scene in Alexandria, Sir John Mills was drinking real beer because ginger ale and other substitutes didn't look real enough on film. In the final cut (the fourteenth take) he actually was quite drunk. The ambulance used is an Austin K2, which saw widespread service with the British during World War II.
