Unhappy Oh no, it's that time of year again...

I guess us city dwellers suffer with this a tad more than country folks, but then i might be wrong

I just went out to lock the front gate which i do every night (an attempt to keep out any idiots), & all of a sudden there were two massive bangs A timely reminder that the idiots/chavs have gotten hold of fireworks & they'll be at it again for nearly 1.5 months of this year

Every year is the same, some worse than others. This is kind of early though which doesn't make the situation look good for this year

    Ah well, time for another

In London we also have diwali so maybe you have similar issues with those celebrations too

That's possible John, i'm in what i guess you'd call a pretty well predominantly white British area (try finding that on a census form ), though there are some afro caribbean & sikh neighbours round abouts (all cool)

I guess it's possible someone's having some kind of celebration, Diwali or a wedding?

It just reminded of that time of year though, first explosions & all

We've got the stupidity of Halloween to get through first, with constant rings on my doorbell on the night of 31st. Think I'll just turn the music up this year so that I can't hear the bell.

2008 was an absolute nightmare, for both Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night with a 5 week old Avatar, and last year when she was just over 1 wasn't a lot better. She's still too young to take revenge on everyone so no fireworks party or Trick or Treat this year, but maybe next...
